Length is mandatory — records will be denied without a length measurement.

Photos & video

First time submitting? Watch our quick How to Weigh a Fish ▶ video so your weigh-in clip has everything we need.

Show the species, weight, and length on a zeroed digital scale in one continuous clip. Max 300 MB.

Please include:

  • The bowfisher holding a clean fish
  • A full side profile of the fish
  • The whole fish on a digital scale
  • Buffalo, Suckers & Quillback only: add close-up(s) of the full mouth closed (required for species ID)

Photos are automatically resized on upload — just add your originals. No Live Photos — on iPhone, turn Live off or send a screenshot (HEIC is fine).

By submitting this record, I certify that everything I have entered is true and accurate. I attest that this fish was legally taken by bow, in season and within legal method, in the state and category I am submitting for, and that the photos, weight, and measurements are of the actual fish I harvested. I understand the Bowfishing Association of America may verify any submission, and that falsifying a record — including misrepresenting the species, weight, location, or how the fish was taken — may result in disqualification, forfeiture of any records or awards, and a permanent lifetime ban from BAA competition and recognition.

Before you submit

  • The fish must be weighed on a digital scale.
  • Photos must clearly show the species, a full side profile, and the fish on the scale.
  • Length is required — no length, no record.
  • Buffalo, Suckers & Quillback require the extra mouth-closed close-up photos.

Note: we will email you a confirmation right after you submit. Our records email comes from a new domain, so it may land in your spam/junk folder at first — please check there and mark it “Not spam” so you get your approval and certificate.
