After working on this new state rep's list I have noticed we have several states where we don't have a
state rep.

The B.A.A.’s membership is increasing annually, and we would like to see it continue to grow.  This is
one way in which you can assist us in our quest!  BAA State Representatives are needed to help keep
the connection between bowfishermen and different parts of the world, as well as locally.

Enthusiasm & initiative are some of the biggest attributes that a State Rep requires, along with an
interest in promoting the sport & the BAA.  Below please find a list of other duties that are expected of
BAA State Representatives. After reading these duties, please sign on the line below and return this
letter to us to let us know that you’ll fulfill these duties to the best of your abilities.

1. Promote the sport of bowfishing.
2. Solicit new members to the BAA annually.
3. Try to host or help host a sanctioned tournament.  Help insure that the sanctioning fee is paid, and
the results are turned in to the Points Chairman following the tournament.
4. Promote local tournaments.
5 Help with obtaining donations for the World Championship
6. Attend the Annual Meetings of the BAA, or send in a report to be read at the meeting.
7. Bring forth ways that the BAA can cater to the bowfishermen in your State, as well as around the world.
8. Send in articles, pictures, results, updates, or anything else that may be used for use in the
Bowfishing Journal.
9. Must be a BAA member.

Please remember that as a State Representative that you are also a BAA Board Member, with voting
rights accordingly.   And also remember that, with this responsibility comes the responsibility of acting
with the utmost professionalism when either talking of bowfishing, or when actually bowfishing itself. You
now represent not only a bowfishing organization that we all are proud of, but Bowfishing in general.
Your actions will now speak louder than ever before!

Thank you again for your interest in the BAA.  Together we can hopefully make the BAA a great
success, and continue to promote the great sport of bowfishing throughout the World!

Sincerely,

Mark Lee
