Grab your bows, load your boat,
                                                             and pack your bags because this
                                                             year is a BAA World Championship
                                                             that you cannot afford to miss.  
                                                             The BAA World Championship is
                                                             headed back to the famed Lafitte,
                                                             Louisiana.  For those of you who
                                                             have not bowfished this area
                                                             before....you are in for a treat.  
                                                             You will literally see thousands of
                                                             fish while on the water, and a
                                                             chance at seeing a Gator Gar
                                                             tipping the scales at over 150
pounds!!!  So for the big fish and numbers enthusiasts...this is the place to be come the
second weekend in July.  And just recently in April the Cajun Classic tournament was
put on at Lafitte, and the winning team shot 1,016 fish in the Numbers Division and the
winning team in the Big 20 shot 667.85 pounds!!!  Quality and numbers of fish are there.

Two Tournament Divisions: (Teams Will Be Automatically Entered in Both)

Numbers and Big 20

Entry Fee: $200 per team gets you into both divisions automatically

Numbers Division:  The team shooting the greatest number of legal fish during
tournament hours.

Big 20 Division:  The team shooting the greatest aggregate weight of twenty (20) legal
fish.

An optional $25-per team big fish pot for the largest fish of the tournament will be collected
separately.  

A minimum of 3 places will be paid back in each division and a winner crowned in both.

Participants may win both divisions



Registration begins April 17, 2008 at 12:00 AM CST

(Entries received before 12:00 AM (Central Standard Time),  1:00 AM (EST),  will not be entered and
the money will be refunded)

Each entry is time stamped and boats will leave in the order they register, pre-registration is
encouraged.

Paypal charges a convenience fee of $6.00 for the tournament and $0.75 for the Big Fish listed as
shipping and handling.  This makes sure that we have an even amount for each division because of
charges to us from paypal.  If you do not want to pay the convenience fee you may mail your entry fee

Make sure you include you and your team member names, which division you are entering, and a check to the
BAA in the appropriate amount




Some important rules:

•        Teams to consist of no more than 3 people with one team per boat only.  (No Passengers)

•        All team members must be BAA members.

•        There will be a 10 Gator Gar limit per team.
•        All shooters will need a fresh and saltwater license for the state of Louisiana.
•        Redfish will not be counted or weighed in the tournament.
•        Trailering will be allowed at this tournament.

•        
Red Zones will be the Salvador Wildlife Management Area, and Delta Farms, these
areas are off limits for the tournament.  A 200 yard buffer zone should be strictly
adhered to when fishing around all marinas.  

•        The BAA will have an updated Red Zone sheet available online soon, as well as
one to pick up at the tournament.

•        Chips are to be handed out to all teams to determine the starting order by order of registration.

•        All chips are to be turned in at the end of tournament.  Failure to do so, for any reason, will
result in disqualification.

•        All teams are required to record vehicle license plate number on tournament registration.

•        Each vehicle will be marked with a decal upon boat/vehicle inspection to allow tournament
directors to identify trailers and license plate numbers.
